IT540 Index System Edgetech’s IT540 Semi-Automatic High Speed Indexing System is designed reduce the time and labor required for indexing laminate materials to cores. A powered conveyor transports the core into the IT540 Index Table. Another powered conveyor brings the laminate to within easy reach of the operator for placing onto the index table arms. An automatic clamping system holds the core tightly while the laminate is indexed. A PLC, utilizing photoeyes, senses the location of the core and laminate to control the feeding of materials to and from the station.
